>Am back in Nashville and getting into the swing of things again after a very relaxing Turkey vacation. Thankfully, I just have to be in the swing of things for a few weeks and then it’s more vacation time 🙂 Ahhhh the holidays!

For Thanksgiving I went home to East TN and got in some quality family time. There’s nothing better than having no schedule, taking naps throughout the day and eating till you want to die. Again…ahhhh the holidays!

Ah yes..NOW it’s Thanksgiving.
Me and my Sis-in-Law.
The only way I could get a picture with Josh, apparently.

Cousin Kent and Aunt B.

Me and Daddy.

Me and the Newly-Wades.

Then on Friday, I took an impromptu trip to Western North Carolina. Thanks to the rock slide, I took back roads through the mountains and across the famed “Dragon’s Tail” – home to over 300 turns in 10 miles and where the motorcycles come to challenge death, apparently. It was really fun playing racecar in the Eclipse since there weren’t many others on the road. I think I topped out at an impressive 34 miles an hour. However, this route rocked my face off. It was way shorter than my last detour through Newport and much more scenic…but I don’t recommend it if you get car sick. 😉
Then I spent a little quality time in the hills of NC in several other wonderful small towns of the great South (Sylva, Dillsboro and Cullowhee) with my favorite tour guide. We had a blast and I’m still loving on those mountains and wishing I lived closer to them!!

Enjoying the scenery on the Dragon’s Tail.

Me. And yes, that is a self-timed portrait using the roof of my car.

Bowling in Sylva, NC. This was the second time I’d been bowling over Thanksgiving break, and proof that I like small-town fun.

Antiquing and shopping the craft stores in Dillsboro.

Topping off a fabulous day in Sylva.

So fun – can’t wait for Christmas!!

XOXO,
